For my dog when we took her on walks we would take treats with us, then the rule was if she done the toilet outside the house, she would get her treat, we still take them with us on her walks and she does the toilet outside everyday!

Did he have access to grass etc where he was brought up before you got him? Our pup never did the toilet outside for MONTHS because he was used to doing it on concrete slabs in the garden and that’s what my mum had too so he used to only do it when we got back from the walk 😅

my dog is a Siberian husky and she only does the toilet in the garden! She’s 5 now. I took her out a walk for hours and still never done the toilet until she was home xx

Go you!!! It’s the best time to start them 🥰 I still tell my girl I love her and I will be back anytime I leave her 🥰. Just a wee heads up, if you can get him used to a car harness and being strapped in, police can stop you if he’s unrestrained in the car, especially in the front (my girl rides shotgun too 🥰)

I found with my golden every time she did a wee/poo outside I made a big deal and a treat oh she will do anything for a treat . She’s nine now and every time she does something good she takes me to her treat jar their so clever so don’t let that cute face fool you thy are clever

my 12 week old cockapoo does the toilet outside and sometimes inside. He can get distracted with eating leafs looking at people walking past etc but he can go walks tomorrow. So i hope the accidents in the house calms down

Take him out every half an hour to 40 minutes (where possible) then when he does it outside reward him whether that’s an favourite toy or treat (you can use kibble as an treat so that it doesn’t get too excessive of high calorie treats. If he has any accidents indoors or goes to do it on the puppy mats take him straight outdoors right away so that he associates toilet time is always outdoors.

If you can try take him the same wee walk round the exact same bit of grass he will get familiar x

My wee Teddy was like that as a puppy. But the more walks he got used too. He now doesn’t do a poo in back garden. Only does it when he’s on walk now. So it will come eventually with Walter .x
