Lol i have a funny story about a similar situation as a kayak guide with customers.... I told the woman it was a Dolphin she only seen the splash . Her partner was shocked he had seen it ..He laughed at what i said .... Told her the truth once we were back onshore ...As i was telling her it was a shark (onland) he talkin over top of me saying "It was fkn huge"
