@.valikomuz: The Norwegian band TNT is one of the most prominent representatives of Scandinavian hard rock and glam metal. Here are a few interesting facts about them: 🎸 A “Norwegian” debut and a sharp change of course The band was formed in 1982 in Trondheim. Their debut album TNT (1983) was entirely in Norwegian — the only time they did so. Soon afterward, the lineup changed and American vocalist Tony Harnell joined on vocals. It was with him that the group found its signature sound: high, piercing vocals and technically proficient guitar work. 💥 Their biggest hit and a “Norwegian Grammy” The real breakthrough came with the album Tell No Tales (1987). The song “10 000 Lovers (In One)” became their biggest hit, and the album itself reached No. 1 on the Norwegian chart. That same year, the record received the Norwegian equivalent of the Grammy — the Spellemannprisen award — in the “Best Rock Album” category. 🌟 Recognition and influence In 2019, TNT was inducted into the Rockheim Hall of Fame — Norway’s national museum of pop and rock music — confirming their status as a living legend. Guitarist Ronni Le Tekrø is considered an outstanding musician; even the well-known Norwegian jazz guitarist Terje Rypdal admires him. 🔄 Lineup instability and a “reboot” TNT went through many lineup changes (about 14 members in total), and in 1992 they even broke up due to internal conflicts. However, in 2003 they made a triumphant return. The only member who has remained from the very beginning is guitarist Ronni Le Tekrø. 🎻 An unexpected collaboration with a symphony orchestra In 2012, to mark their 30th anniversary, the band performed together with the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra. A recording of this concert was released as 30th Anniversary 1982-2012 Live In Concert (2014), showing that TNT’s heavy music blends perfectly with an academic sound. #rock #rockmusic #hardrock #glammetal #80s
