@jos.pham.nguyen.sdb: 🙏 One of the most moving moments in Catholic history. On October 2, 1979, Pope St. John Paul II visited St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York, where he sought out Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen, embraced him, and said: “You have written and spoken well of the Lord Jesus Christ. You are a loyal son of the Church.” A beautiful moment of recognition, humility, and faith — from one shepherd of the Church to another. Just 68 days later, on December 9, 1979, Archbishop Fulton Sheen passed away. What a beautiful reminder that even when the world seems to have moved on, the faithful witness of a servant of God is never forgotten by the Church. May the legacy of Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen continue to inspire hearts to love Jesus Christ and remain faithful to His Church. Blessed Fulton J. Sheen, pray for us. St. John Paul II, pray for us. ✝️🙏
