Wait, did they seriously travel back in time from modern-day Thailand to ancient Myanmar? 😭 Just look at what they’re wearing! Can someone explain this?

Why are some of the costumes, hairstyles, and floral hair ornaments in your trailers so similar to traditional Burmese fashion from the Konbaung era? Some of the outfits worn by the female characters look remarkably like traditional Burmese clothing.
I have no issue with Tai or Shan-inspired clothing, because cultures across Southeast Asia have shared influences throughout history. But some of these costumes look specifically similar to traditional Burmese royal attire from the Konbaung period.
Does Thailand have its own rich traditional clothing and cultural heritage? Of course it does. So why not showcase your own historical fashion instead of using costumes that look so much like another country’s cultural heritage?
I usually don’t want to criticize historical dramas just because they feature Burmese traditional clothing. But this is different. Scarlet Heart Thailand is a Thai adaptation of a Korean drama, yet some of the costumes shown in the trailers look strikingly similar to traditional Burmese clothing.
Myanmar’s cultural heritage deserves recognition and proper acknowledgment. If these designs were inspired by Burmese history and traditional dress, it would be respectful to acknowledge that inspiration rather than leave viewers wondering where these costumes actually came from.
Cultural appreciation is one thing, but cultural identity and historical heritage deserve respect. 💜

so I would like to raise awareness!! it is true that this is based on the Lanna era which was conquer by Taungoo dynasty but the customs from both actors and actresses and even the accessories are clearly based on the KonBaung dynasty which took place after the Taungoo dynasty. which means they copy our culture without doing proper research!!! we Myanmar ppl want @gmmtv to take responsibility for your actions!!!!!!

Whatever the case may be, Im not saying that Myanmar traditional clothing is bad or that I dont like it. I just feel a little sad when people who dont know much about Myanmar culture mistake our traditional outfits for Thai clothing.
Please help clarify this issue.
