@user609306143323: Rosie O’Donnell and Kristin Chenoweth are bringing one of reality television’s most unforgettable rivalries to the stage, and fans are already buzzing about the unexpected casting. The two stars led a reading of The Pyramid: An Unauthorized ‘Dance Moms’ Musical in New York City on Monday, putting a theatrical spin on the drama that made the original Lifetime series famous. Rosie, 64, took on the role of Abby Lee Miller, the famously demanding dance instructor who pushed young performers and their mothers through intense competitions and emotional confrontations. Kristin, 58, best known for originating the role of Glinda in Wicked, played Cathy Nesbitt-Stein, the dance instructor who frequently clashed with Abby on the show. The original Dance Moms ran for eight seasons between 2011 and 2019, building a devoted following through its fierce rivalries, demanding rehearsals, and unforgettable personalities. Rosie had teased the mystery project in a TikTok video earlier Monday, telling fans she was excited to take part in a new musical reading but could not reveal many details yet. Once news of the casting emerged, fans quickly shared their excitement online. Some called Rosie the perfect choice to portray Abby, while others said the unexpected pairing was exactly the kind of theatrical spectacle they wanted to see. But this reading may only be the beginning. The creative team reportedly hopes to develop the project into a full Broadway production. The musical began as a social media concept before plans for a larger stage version took shape. For fans who remember every dramatic pyramid ranking, the possibility of seeing that world transformed into musical theater could be an irresistible reunion. \#RosieODonnell #KristinChenoweth #DanceMoms #Broadway #entertainmentnews
