I (22M) have a koi pond in my backyard. He wasn’t a buck I could pattern, and he often eluded my cameras, except for the occasional appearance. But when he did show himself, it was always nice to see. The neighbor provided me with the pictures of him from the summers Lefty would spend on his land. In 2022, he had broken off a big portion of his rack before he ever made an appearance on my farm that year. He eluded us in 2023, and November 16, 2024 was the end of the road for this old buck. He had scars on his face, puncture hole above his eye, all 4 broken toes on his front legs. This old buck moved slow, as he made his way into my crosshairs that morning.
