There needs to be some sort of extra help for Albany period. The amount of people that come into the city, use its resources and roads that don’t live here, is exponentially more than other similar sized cities in the state. The state needs to put more money into its Capital city and make it better, it’s the capital!

we pay thruway tolls, we pay local restaraunts for meals. this whole thing is absolutely nonsense when so many of us work for the state. also would this somehow be a weird long way around charging employees to work for a "company"?

Albany has at least 66 flock cameras as of Sept of this year. each ALPR (10 of the 66) costs roughly 3000 per year to operate. there's 30k, plus the 40k in cost to purchase cameras. this doesn't even include the other 56 cameras, plus the other companies that undoubtedly also have cameras in the city. maybe start by getting rid of the surveillance tech, instead of charging the people who make the city (and state) run.

How about one frgn local county state federal governments cut spending !!! Stop trying to gain more revenue !( tax steal our money ) this crap needs to stop ! They all need to learn to live within there means! Cut taxes in NYS they are out of control

I was told I can’t work from home because I need to go to restaurants to support local businesses. Now I need to support local Albany businesses and pay extra in taxes to do so.

It’s ridiculous you know it’s funny. They’re gonna text the regular people, but you know who they’re not gonna tax all the private companies and third-party companies at the city of Albany pays to run their flock all the construction companies I bet you they’re not gonna get the “ commuter” tax

And another point,what about the people who work for the state, who pay $60 a month to park in a parking garage OWNED by the state!!! Why isn’t the state going after big corporations and their tractor trailers and trucks that beat the crap out of our roads on a daily basis? Our cars are not doing that damage. But all the big tractor trailers that are owned by million and billion dollar corporations are!! what a💩 show! SMH

Albany lawmakers’ last self-enriching raise (2026!!!!!) made them the highest-compensated state legislators in the nation… but working people need to make up the difference? Sick of govt officials lining thei pockets and creating deficits then asking everyone else to cover their failures. If anyone else did this poorly at their job, they’d be fired instead of a 25% raise they voted for themselves.
