This NCLEX Question Has TWO Priority Patients… So Who Wins? 👀 THIS is where NCLEX starts getting uncomfortable. 😭 Because sometimes you’re not choosing between: ❌ one obviously wrong answer and ✅ one obviously right answer. Sometimes you’re choosing between TWO patients who genuinely need you. And THAT is where clinical judgment matters. In this question, you have: 🫁 A client with COPD and increasing fatigue 🩸 A client with DKA whose potassium is dropping 🚨 A post-thyroidectomy client with new neck pressure and frequent swallowing ❤️ A client with heart failure experiencing new PVCs with hypokalemia So if your strategy is simply: “ABCs.” Or: “Pick the most abnormal lab.” Or: “New symptoms always come first.” 👀 You might still end up stuck between two answers. Because NCLEX isn’t testing whether you can identify that something is wrong. All four clients have something that deserves attention. The real question is: 🧠 Which cues belong together? 🧠 What complication could those cues represent? 🧠 Which problem has the greatest potential for rapid deterioration? 🧠 And which patient can least afford for the nurse to wait? That’s the difference between memorizing a priority rule and knowing how to APPLY it when multiple rules seem to fit. Now I want to see your clinical judgment. 👀 A, B, C, or D? And y’all already know the rules. 😂 Do NOT just drop a letter and disappear. Tell me: 👇🏽 Which patient are you seeing FIRST, what complication are you concerned about, and WHY does your patient beat the other three? And if you get this down to two answers that BOTH look right and suddenly don’t know what to do… 👀 That is EXACTLY what we’re working on in my NCLEX Strategy Masterclass. We’re breaking down priority, first/best questions, distractors, clinical judgment, and how to make a decision when more than one answer feels correct. 📅 September 17 ⏰ 8–10 PM EST 🎯 RN + PN students welcome You don’t need another list of rules to memorize. You need to know what to do when the rules compete. 🎯 Comment CLASS and I’ll send you the details, or register through the link in my bio. #NCLEXprep #nursingschool #nursingstudent #NCLEXRN #NCLEXPN
