A tip for chiselling out latches on internal doors is use a quick clamp on the edge of the door specially doing it with the door hung, hoover can be jammed in place from the bar of the clamp holding it below while drilling and the clamp on the sides supports them stops any chance of break out of the sides while chiselling.

screws are on the closing end. so I could take the door handle off from the way it shuts. especially if there is going to be a lock. screws should be on the other side of the handle.
