SIMON BISS BRANSGORE SNAPCHAT GROOMING OF 12-YEAR-OLD DECOY In 2021, the Offender Database UK recorded the third conviction of Simon Biss, a 41-year-old resident of North Ripley, Bransgore, at Southampton Crown Court. Simon Biss, a recidivist predator with an extensive history of online grooming, was jailed after targeting an internet profile he believed belonged to a 12-year-old schoolgirl named "Emily." The extensive investigation established that the profile was a calculated decoy operation operated by police detectives, exposing Simon Biss's total abandonment of human decency. SNAPCHAT GROOMING AND THE COMPULSION TO TRAVEL An investigation established that Simon Biss initiated explicit contact with the decoy profile on the messaging application Snapchat between September and October 2020. During these digital exchanges, Simon Biss told the supposed child that she looked "gorgeous" and overtly asked if she would consider dating much older men. The prosecution reported that even when the police decoy explicitly stated that she was a young minor based in Scarborough—hundreds of miles away—Simon Biss dismissed the barrier, replying, “I don’t care that you’re young,” and offered to travel across the country to meet her. Simon Biss aggressively pursued the target, demanding to see pictures of the 12-year-old girl's body. Cyber-crime units traced the network data directly to his Hampshire residence, where Hampshire Constabulary officers executed an arrest warrant. During his police interviews, Simon Biss maintained a rigid "no comment" stance. REPEAT OFFENDING AND AN EIGHT-YEAR EXTENDED LICENCE The trial exposed an entrenched, fifteen-year pattern of predatory behavior. The court heard that Simon Biss had already accumulated two separate prison sentences in 2006 and 2010 for grooming young girls over the internet and traveling to meet them in person. Sentencing him for this third series of offenses, Judge Christopher Parker QC officially branded Simon Biss a “significant risk of serious harm” to the public. To ensure long-term monitoring upon his eventual release, Judge Parker QC sentenced Simon Biss to 32 months in immediate custody, coupled with an extensive eight-year extended licence period. STATUS AND CASE DETAILS (2021) Legal Status: CONVICTED (Attempting to cause or incite a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity; Sexual communication with a child; Breach of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order). Custodial Status: JAILED (Sentenced in 2021 to 32 months in prison with an 8-year extended licence). Sex Offenders Register: Mandated to register as a sex offender INDEFINITELY. Judicial Oversight: Presided over by Judge Christopher Parker QC at Southampton Crown Court. Origin: North Ripley, Bransgore, Hampshire. 💬 WHAT DO YOU THINK? Given that this offender had already been jailed twice before for grooming young girls and immediately used Snapchat to target another child upon release, do you believe a 32-month prison sentence offers a strong enough deterrent for repeat predators, or should a third child exploitation conviction trigger an automatic whole-life sentence?
