Well, wow! 👏 So people who have been living in this country without legal status may be offered certain routes to settlement, while people who have worked legally for years, paid taxes, and looked after the elderly and vulnerable are left worrying about their future.
We work 15–16 hours a day, sometimes get paid for only 6–7 hours, and barely have time to eat, drink water or spend time with our own children. We sacrifice our health, our family time and our happiness to follow the rules and build a better future.
And after years of hard work, we are told that the settlement route we were promised might become longer.
What kind of fairness is this? What message does this send to the people who came here legally, followed the rules, worked hard and contributed to this country?
We are not asking for special treatment. We are asking for fairness, recognition and respect for the years we have already given.
Well done! 👏👏 What a system! The people who have done everything right are left living in uncertainty about their future and their children’s future.
Please don’t forget the hardworking people who keep this country running, especially those caring for the elderly and vulnerable. We are human beings too, and our years of hard work should count for something
