it has nothing to do with misogyny, people just weren't interested in Agatha as a character and didn't want to watch a show about her

Meanwhile I’m mainly watching vision quest to see how they pick up from/include Agatha all along

Agatha is the single best project imo- these new fans are missing the experience of the weekly mystery 😫

Hot take, Agatha is a minor side character and there was nothing compelling about watching her show, on top of it releasing in the thick of marvels terrible projects. Vision is an avenger and also I’m only there for James Spader. I wouldn’t have watched if I hadn’t seen him in the promo.

I have a theory that the Witches are all linked to different Infinity Stones. Wanda(Reality), Agatha(Power), Billy(Space), Rio(Time).

Rewatched both WandaVision and Agatha in anticipation for VisionQuest! Love them both but I will admit I think WandaVision edges out slightly.

as soon as a post starts with "I didn't watch Agatha when it first came out, but now..." I immediately skip the rest of the post.

and they missed out on such a fun time when it was fresh. I've never before wanted to gatekeep a fandom but I'm feeling weirdly protective of Agatha. I'll check myself but it was so good!!!!

It's both mine and my husband's favorite show/movie from marvel. We plan to watch it every October forever. I'm sure vision quest is good too, but it's on the watch later list.

What some people in the comments aren't getting is that if you didnt want to watch Agatha All Along due to reasons some probably misogynistic, then you SHOULD NOT be complaining about not understanding VisionQuest because that is on you for not watching the VERY obvious shows that's been setting up VisionQuest. Also what type of real MCU fan don't watch all of the MCU, it's either you're not or you larping as one. 😭 I don't like Captain America (Steve), but I still watched all his films because I'm a MCU fan and I knew that they potentially will be referenced in other films.

🙄 or maybe bc Vision was an established character from the movies and so people were more interested while Agatha wasn’t a clear tie in until you started watching it

Biases? I’ve seen it. And I understand why people might not. Here for marvel and it starts off as a weird police show, she’s completely naked (which if you got kids you know you shut it off), and the Salem era witches. I liked it but it definitely has parts that anyone could see would lose viewers.

Agatha was mid af at best. Stop it. Felt like marvel jumanji. Cannot explain further.
