Your light sustained me during the year and a half of covid. I am so grateful for you and your videos during that time and now. Many of us chose to be here on earth at this time to shine our light for others and you are one of them. When you feel your light start to dim, pull out all those notes and re-read them. You'll shine even brighter than before! God has blessed you and you bless us. thank you!❤️❤️❤️

I was a young mom, I had my oldest son at 16. My L&D nurse was a life saver for me and made me feel better about being a momma. When I started working in L&D about 15 years later she still worked there but of course didn't remember me. We had a girl come in to deliver who was 16 and had a very similar situation as mine in life before then. This nurse that I felt like was my life saver all those years ago came out of the patients room and back to the nurses station and started talking so bad about the patient and how teenagers that get pregnant that young will never raise their babies to be decent humans. She didn't just sin the light I thought she held she fully extenguished it. I never told her how much respect I had for her bc of what I felt like she helped me with as a 16 year old mom but I did tell her what a disappointment she was as a nurse who spoke about her patients that way when they couldn't hear her. She retired about 6 years after that and told us all what a horrible job being an L&D nurse was. I hope she's found a light in life and has put some light back into the world in some way.

My favorite quote: “When I think about all the patients and their loved ones I have worked with over the years, I know most of them don’t remember me, nor I, them. But I do know that I gave a little piece of myself to each of them, and they to me, and those threads make up the tapestry that is my career in nursing.” —Donna Wilk Cardillo, MA, RN, CSP, FAAN. I remember my young eating disorder patients & their exit interviews that still make me cry today.

Nurses are the best! (I still remember a lady that stood by me when I had my second needle core biopsy and I remember the nurse that took care of me in recovery after my mastectomy!)
