@whatif.physics3d: Nobody has ever been inside Uranus. Almost everything we know about it comes from a single flyby: Voyager 2, in January 1986. Uranus is about four times wider than Earth, and 63 Earths would fit inside it. It is also the only planet that spins on its side, tilted 98°, most likely after a giant impact billions of years ago. Its atmosphere is the coldest ever measured on a planet, down to −224 °C. And its clouds contain hydrogen sulfide, the gas that gives rotten eggs their smell. Today, a Uranus Orbiter and Probe is the highest-priority flagship mission of the US Planetary Science Decadal Survey (2023–2032). Next: what would happen if someone fell into Uranus? Follow so you don't miss it.
