my mom passed on September 2nd. not even a week after my birthday, i had just turned 18. i wanted to spent my birthday with her and i couldnt because she was in the hospital. she had breast cancer about 4 years ago, she had to get blood work every few months and the cancer had ended up going to her kidney and then to her spine. she was so scared to go but she was in so much pain. all she wanted to do was spend time with all of us and help everyone she could. the last time we saw her she wasnt able to open her eyes or respond, but my brother who is 13 still talked to her and held her hand like he always would. im just happy shes in a better place and is no longer in pain.
