Casey K :
I wouldn't say Gen Z is lazy, but I think a few things: 1. the world's economies are so bad that a lot of older adults are having to take those entry jobs these kids should be getting. either it's the only job they can get because no one is really hiring or they have to get a 2nd or 3rd job to cover bills. 2. when I do encounter you get workers, presumably gen z, maybe younger, their work ethic is so terrible. obviously not everyone, but as a whole of my, and many others, experience - it's terrible. the younger workers never smile, never greet you, don't say have a nice day or thank you. the argument is why should you have to make small talk but even company face aside, there is still whimsy and community in making small talk with strangers from your area. you learn and grow so much from that small talk. instead, the small talk is gone and it feels like customers are a total bothersome to the younger workers. but it's the job.
I wouldn't say they are lazy, but I would say their opportunities are much more deminished due to economic collapse and they aren't pleasant to interact with, as a generalization.
