We would all be better if our doctors actually cared about their patients, like on greys anatomy. It’s strictly protocol and what the insurance companies will pay for. I spent years on the insurance medicine protocol before I reached a med that actually worked for me, I ask the doctor why we didn’t start with that one and he said insurance would not cover it until we went through all the others.
