This Turkish-inspired twist is next-level comfort food! 🧀🔥 Save this recipe because you NEED to try it! 🤎 🍞 DOUGH • 450 g flour + 40 g extra flour • 10 g dry yeast • 300 ml lukewarm water • 10 g sugar • 10 g salt • 20 ml oil • 1 egg 🍅 TOMATO SAUCE • 1 grated tomato • 1 tsp tomato paste • 1 tsp ketchup • 1 tbsp oil • Oregano & salt to taste 🧀 TOPPINGS • Pepperoni or Turkish sucuk • Sliced tomatoes • Mozzarella cheese • Sesame seeds ✨ FOR THE CRUST Grape or date molasses mixed with yogurt, or a little oil for brushing. 👩🏻‍🍳 METHOD 1. Mix yeast, sugar, 2 tbsp flour, and lukewarm water. Cover and rest for 10 minutes until foamy. 2. Add the flour, salt, oil, and egg. Knead until smooth. 3. Cover and let rise until doubled or tripled in size (about 25 minutes in my kitchen). 4. Roll out the dough. Add mozzarella along the edges, fold the dough over it, and seal tightly. 5. Spread the tomato sauce in the center and add pepperoni or sucuk and tomatoes. 6. Brush the edges with the molasses-yogurt mixture or oil, then sprinkle with sesame seeds. 7. Bake in a preheated fan oven at 180°C / 350°F for 10 minutes. 8. Add more mozzarella on top and bake again until golden and fully cooked.
