@houseofpsychology2: People often confuse entitlement with confidence. They are not the same. One pushes people away, the other earns respect. Here is the difference, explained simply: ENTITLEMENT SAYS: 1. "I deserve it just because" It expects special treatment without effort. 2. Expects things without effort It wants the reward without the work. 3. Gets angry when told "No" A boundary feels like a personal insult. 4. Thinks rules don't apply to them "Rules are for other people." 5. Needs to put others down to feel worthy Confidence lifts others. Entitlement needs to lower others to feel high. CONFIDENCE SAYS: 1. "I can earn it and I can learn" It knows worth comes from effort and growth. 2. Works for what they want It shows up, does the work, stays patient. 3. Respects "No" and boundaries It understands that no is not rejection, it's a boundary. 4. Follows same rules, leads by example It doesn't ask for shortcuts. 5. Knows their worth without hurting others Real confidence is quiet. It doesn't need to make someone else feel small. Entitlement says "You owe me." Confidence says "I trust myself to create it." One comes from insecurity. The other comes from self-respect. Which one do you see more around you these days? And which one are you working on becoming? Comment below, your perspective might help someone else today. Save this for the next time you need to check yourself or set a boundary with someone else. For awareness and education only • Not a diagnosis • We all show both sides sometimes, growth is about awareness. #EntitlementVsConfidence #Confidence #SelfRespect #Boundaries #PsychologyFacts #EmotionalIntelligence #PersonalGrowth #MindsetMatters #HouseOfPsychologyFacts
