@dangchick: Fort Mountain State Park located between Ellijay and Chatsworth Georgia — sits on the southwestern end of the Cohutta Mountains near the Cohutta Wilderness at 2,850 ft above sea level. Cool, scenic drive up the mountain to see this spectacular sun soaked beauty. Purdy waterfall, (50) miles of hiking trails, beach, stunning summit views, bike, paddle, camp, swim, fish, etc. It’s a stunning, laidback, family oriented, state park. 🪾💦🥾🎣🚣‍♀️🏃🏽‍♀️🚴🏼‍♀️⛱️🧺☮️ Fun Fact: The park was founded in 1938 and named for an ancient 885-foot-long rock wall located on the peak. The area in and around the park was home to the Cherokee Indians for hundreds of years, and their legacy is still felt throughout North Georgia today. #supportstateparks #nature #splendorwonderland 🍁🍃🍂🪾 #fall #fyp
