Simon Tanton Liskeard Paedophile Child Molester In 2026, a Liskeard serial paedophile, Simon Tanton, was given a 17-year term after being found guilty of "numerous sexual offences" with a girl in elementary school. Rapson Road, Liskeard resident Simon Tanton, 45, entered a not guilty plea but was ultimately convicted guilty of all charges. After being found guilty, he was sentenced to seven years and six months in jail at Truro Crown Court. He started abusing her sexually when she was just six years old, and the abuse persisted for a long time. Tanton was given a 16-year prison sentence by Judge Carr, which included one year on an extended licence. Before being eligible for release, Tanton will complete two-thirds of his sentence. In addition, a lifelong restraining order prohibiting him from contacting his victim was placed on the sex offenders' register.
