TRAGEDY IN PAUL STREET AS MAN DIES IN ATTEMPT TO RESCUE CHILD FROM WELL. A rescue operation at Paul Street has ended in tragedy after a man who reportedly entered a well to rescue a child lost his life, while efforts to recover the child were still ongoing as of the time of this report. According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred at about 8 a.m. at a residential building on Paul Street. The eyewitnesses said the child’s mother, who was reportedly occupied with cleaning duties within the building, suddenly noticed that the child was missing. After hearing the child’s cries, she allegedly discovered that the child had fallen into a well and immediately began shouting for help. A commercial motorcyclist, described by eyewitnesses as a good Samaritan, reportedly volunteered to enter the well in an attempt to rescue the child. However, while descending into the well, the man was said to have experienced difficulty breathing and begun losing consciousness, allegedly due to the conditions inside the well. He was reportedly unable to make his way back out. Firefighters were subsequently contacted and arrived at the scene approximately 20 minutes later. According to eyewitnesses, the initial rescue team did not have sufficient equipment to carry out the operation and had to return with additional equipment. When the firefighters resumed the rescue operation, they reportedly recovered the man’s body from the well. Eyewitnesses claimed that he had fallen and struck his head while inside. However, as of the time of this report, the child who initially fell into the well had yet to be brought out, leaving residents and others at the scene awaiting further developments. The circumstances surrounding the incident, including the condition of the child and the official account of the rescue operation, were yet to be independently confirmed as of the time of filing this report. #PaulStreet #BreakingNews #RescueOperation #TragicIncident #jordanfm - @jordan105fm
