My nieces and nephew were here. I don’t even remember what one of them tore up, but when I asked about it, the oldest blamed the baby brother. I was like, so if I pull up that camera it’s going to show him doing it? She forgot I had cameras haha.

one time I got gum in my hair and my dad was sleeping he was very difficult so I thought I could cut it out on my own. except there were no scissors just a pairing kn!fe. I had limited visibility of the gum. I cut my finger open and blamed it on the cat

I will say, I had a moment like this around her age where I scratched my name into a cars window with either a rock or a broken pen, and to this day could not tell you why. I was not a naughty child, I did not find joy in being bad, I dont even remember the decision, only doing it blindly and then relaizing what I had done with horror. Looking back the lack of impulse regulation may have been an early sign of my ADHD, so while of course repercussions and consequences are absolutely important I am so happy you were patient and kind with her, rather than the spanking my father gave me when I couldnt tell him what I used to do it because I forgot.
