@rainy.day.weather: 🌀 Up to 46,000 aircraft carriers’ worth of “missing” air above Champi’s eye. Using 902 mb across a 45-mile-wide eye, a simplified calculation gives about 4.7 billion metric tons less air overhead than at standard sea-level pressure. It’s currently in the western Pacific churning towards Taiwan and Japan. It has is tied for the 2nd strongest storm this season across the world at 180mph winds!
