I have read all your comments, and my heart aches for all of you. The pain of burying a parent (or any loved one) is indescribable. I lost my mother - the love of my life - when I was 4 months pregnant. I gave birth and raised a child without her. Without her love. Without her wisdom. I used to hold my newborn in my arms and weep. I’ve bought homes and cars, without her getting to witness it and be proud. I went through the darkest tunnel to get to where I am today; which is why I can tell you that God is a balm in Gilead - He heals the greatest wounds. Every day, for over 2 years, felt like torture until I chose to live. If not for myself, I had to for my baby. She deserved a joyful and present mother. I chose to make my mother proud by continuing to be all that she desired for me. I pray that you all find it in your hearts to make them proud by living; and don’t merely survive, thrive! Their lives should not be in vain; let their story mean something by how you walk through life. Work hard. Take care of your families. Create generational wealth. Leave lasting legacies. I live to show bonke abasijkela sesiphnduke izintandane that ingane kaZanele iyaphila futhi iphumelele! I am my mother’s daughter! I am strong. I break down more times than I should, but I get up and continue as she trained me. My mother is incredibly proud, and she is resting peacefully in the presence of her Maker.
