trashed means furniture, floors, and/or walls need to be fixed/replaced. if you need to replace carpet, patch a hole in the drywall, or replace the couch or bed frame, then its trashed. i.e, it needs to go to the trash. but if it is just throwing garbage away or doing dishes, thats just basic fucking cleaning

I used to clean hotel rooms. I have cleaned several trashed rooms. one they poured wax all over everything and cracked eggs onto the carpet. most of that had to be replaced. trashed has a specific meaning

As someone who has been a cleaner this is not trashed. And there isn’t going to be 15 garbage bags of garbage in that place unless she is hiding the worse part of it.

they are spoiled because people are so scared of being charged more for normal stuff they are basically cleaning the house before leaving. myself included. This looks like what a lot of hotel rooms look like after check out. (minus the dishes)

I’m not doing the damned dishes if Airbnb is ALREADY CHARGING ME A CLEANING FEE… it’s not our job as an Airbnb guest to make sure the cleaner can just walk in and make sure it’s ready for the next guest. It’s the Airbnb cleaners job to clean the damned Airbnb… like the dishes is the only thing I could see anyone complain about and THAT IS NORMAL CLEANING. Airbnb people need to stop complaining about stuff that’s ingrained in the operations of Airbnb I don’t want a hotel because I want the whole house / kitchen use. I’m not doing the dishes I pay extra for the privilege of using. You have a dish washer.

If it’s a large group, that could very well be just the breakfast dishes from checkout morning. It’s certainly not all the dishes if a large group stayed for a week. It’s frustrating to me when the checkout time is fairly early and there’s also a whole list of expectations of things we’ll do to clean up the house before that checkout time.

As somebody that does stay at airbnbs, I am terrified to see one of these videos after I leave. I literally take the morning of checkout to make sure the house is cleaned before I leave and that we leave nothing behind
