Don’t disagree with you on much but imo AI needs to be curbed for so many reasons. I predict it’s going to bite us badly in so many ways because humans are becoming reliant upon it and that’s the fundamental issue. If you think of AI as a game of chess, its ultimate goal is to win. That’s the simplest way I can describe its existence!! Now just analyse that thought and draw your conclusions

Individuals have been prosecuted for copyright infringement and fined. In walks AI and intellectual property is a thing of the past. At its best sure it could be good.. none of it is operating “at its best” 😠

If it were to be found provably benevolent, I'd be more comfortable with it. As it stands, it has been used to strip mine all human knowledge and creative output, and place it in the hands of very rich people, so they can sell it back to us; whilst then denying those with knowledge and creativity a decent living.
