Okay hold up- ultrasound tech too at a hospital where we also take call so I scan A LOT of legs- it was a superficial clot caused by trauma which is rare in itself but for it to have moved to the deep system that’s BEYOND RARE. I almost feel like the ultrasound tech may have missed the DVT because this just doesn’t add up for me

NO LITERALLY SAME. RVT AT A MAJOR METROPOLITAN HOSPITAL. THEY DEAD ASS COULDVE KILLED HIM. Had he stayed in London and let the svt resolve he'd more than likely had been fine in a few weeks. BUT THEY PUT HIM ON A PLANE AND THEN IN A HIGH CONTACT GAME??!!!!

I’ve never had a doctor recommend a patient stay awake because of a DVT/PE????? Bed rest makes sense, but staying awake????

My money is on the fact that a tech did not perform the study, it was a physician that just checked fem/pop. It was totally a gastroc DVT that they missed!!

From what I understand the issue lies in the fact that because he was overseas where there are no sonographers, it was likely the doctor scanning who missed a DVT

Terrified every time I’m checking for a DVT the one positive I had I was like 😳 please don’t even move sir!!! Calling the dr immediately!!!! Playing a whole football game is diabolical…if that ain’t a law suit waiting to happen idk what is!!
