@the_ms_soldier: I'm genuinely concerned about how casually our personal information seems to circulate. Last week, I received at least six calls from loan companies I've never registered with. They had my phone number and my full government name. Around the same time, I started receiving newsletters from a laboratory I don't recall signing up with. I can't say for certain that my information was breached or sold. But I have every reason to ask how these companies obtained my details and whether my data is being handled with the consent and safeguards it deserves. And I'm sure I'm not the only one asking these questions. At what point did sharing our personal information to access a service become permission for it to circulate beyond our control?
