I just want to offer a different perspective and encourage people to think before automatically blaming the piercer. I understand the concerns about the price, and that's fair, but sometimes piercings can go wrong, and it's not always the piercer's fault.
As someone with 15 piercings, 10 of which are on my ears, I was honestly surprised by the cauliflower ear situation because I'd never heard of it as a piercing complication. After doing some research, I found that it can happen, although it's uncommon. From the videos I've seen, I haven't noticed anything that clearly shows the piercer did anything wrong (piercer used unsterile equipment, caused unnecessary trauma, used improper techniques, or failed to follow appropriate hygiene and safety procedures), but we also can't know the full story from videos alone and I'm not a professional but nothing stood out as bad practice, if you get me 😐. Cartilage infections and other complications can happen even when a piercing is done properly, and poor aftercare or accidental trauma can also play a role.
I'm not saying the piercer is innocent or dismissing what happened to the client. I'm simply saying a bad outcome doesn't automatically mean the piercer is at fault. remember that complications can happen even when proper procedures are followed
