"if you ignore x3d, Intels better for gaming" is a silly statement. If you ignore amd's faster gaming CPUs, Intels slower gaming CPUs are the fastest

It used to be true, but now intel cpus are ass and amd cpus are the best. And then there is ARM starting to be real dangerous for both intel and amd

You admit it is true yet you still call people larper for saying it? Unless you have the 9950X3D/9950X3D2, Intel CPUs are general much better for productivity because of their price to performance and that's what matters to consumers, price to performance. Because with the same price as the 9950X3D, you could literally buy 2 Core Ultra 7 270K Plus which would overall be more value for money especially when we work with companies and universities that require similar specs all over for production. I will say if you are an independent creator then yeah the 9950X3D is more likely to be recommended but most people needing productivity computers either have a fixed budget given by companies or specs given by the companies and usually the budgets rarely ever allow the 9950X3D because then it'd eat into the other specs of their builds. So the point AMD is more for gamers and Intel is more for productivity still stands. The only place where the brand doesn't matter is the budget market where basically a Ryzen 3 or Core 3 basically have the same performance numbers as each other.

If you’re gaming in 1440p and up it’s going to matter less and less anyway.

let's be real, cpu for baking doesn't matter anymore with frame gen. my hands run at 25% cpu while my gpu is at 100% now when I'm at 300-500fps (with frame gen)

So I’m confused let’s say ryzen 7 9800x3d vs intel i7 14700f what is better in productivity? Is it the i7 ?

no 6p cores and 8e cores isn't as good as 6 hyper threaded cores. the cores of the AMD CPU all would be 2 P cores.

but why would you get something besides x3d if you're building a gaming pc? 7600x3d is an insane value

AMD CPUs are better at gaming because they A. Run cooler and B. Draw less power. They are much more stable too. Intel is a great powerhouse but when under heavy loads (like in gaming) they can really struggle because they run hotter and in higher power.

Hi a missinformator here, yes intel does outperform amd in creative applications (depends on which), yes amd does outperform intel in gaming performance (almost any time given proper matchup)
