@washingtonpost: Registered voters said they trust Democrats over Republicans to handle the economy by 40 percent to 33 percent, the first Democratic advantage on the economy in Post-ABC polling since 2014. Democrats also hold double-digit advantages on trust to handle inflation and the cost of living. Democrats are seen as more trustworthy on many issues even though 54 percent of U.S. adults have an unfavorable view of the party, perhaps because even more Americans — 63 percent — dislike the Republican Party. The Republican Party is seen as too extreme by 55 percent of U.S. adults, compared with 36 percent who see the Democratic Party that way.
