“The characters don’t reach Narnia until the third act” …yeah, that’s how it happens in the book. This is The Magician’s Nephew, not the same story as the 2005 movie.

I was surprised they went back to do Magicians Nephew because it doesn't really overlap with Narnia at all. it's about traveling to many different worlds, one of which is Narnia

I have too many issues with the film. Based on the trailer alone, the tone feels off from the tone of the book, IF some of the lines from the trailer end up being Aslan speaking then that means they used a voice changer on Meryl Streep, which, why cast her if your just to use a voice changer, why set it 50 years earlier? Why a rock opera? No, I don't like it. Not as a fan of the Chronicles, not as a Christian. There is too much that just feels wrong for me.

I don't care what is said about it, I'm booking tickets for the cinema for my birthday, and no matter how it will be I'll most likely be watching it again at home. This and Wildwood are two coming movies I will be watching in the cinema.

Dan Lin is out at Netflix so that might be something. At least you can see the 280 million on screen unlike “Red Notice” or “Red One” which looked terrible.

I don't like to bash artistical intent but if the rumor of Aslan being a female and "Christ-like" is concerning since it doesn't understand he is Jesus and he is that type of figure in THE BOOKS
