whenever I think about this sort of conversation or debate, whatever you want to call it. I always think about boy meets world and it's spin-off series. girl meets world because it had a thing in both series. the English teacher was trying to teach the students through written storytelling but in a way that made it accessible and intriguing to the students and both English teachers, meaning in girl meets world and boy meets world used comic books as their way of introducing storytelling and making it accessible to the students and intriguing

Novels convey more then comic books not just in message but in topic you won’t see xmen talking about the way politics are a tool to separate directly they are more complex and that’s okay

Big comic book fan I’d disagree. Novels and the like are better for literacy, expansion of vocabulary and exploration of the style of prose. Comics however can also be thematically rich, and relay political and educational messages to a large extent. It’s not the same however Both are valid

This is my 10th time asking. Unc can u (med student larper) make the art in symbol rune more anatomically accurate. These pectoral fibers should be more perpendicular to the sternum. This is impacting my ability to read rune symbol.

No there is a big difference which is you just won’t learn as many descriptive word that describe your surroundings people, and their emotions which is really important when talking to people in general and that because where a novel has to describe everything for you to be immersed in the world a comic and show you everything so they don’t need to tell you anything which is where the big difference comes and why it’s better to read books to upgrade your vocab

Dismissing Comics as just "superhero stories" or "just pictures on paper" says more about the biases of certain readers than the medium itself. It's easy for them to praise novels for their storytelling, Character development and Thematic richness (as it should be) but also completely ignoring the fact that graphic novels/comics can also deliver these exact elements with equal impact or quality.

100% agree, narratively there is no difference. I think a lot of people miss out on great stories just because visuals are added into the medium. However, I don't think you receive the same cognitive benefits from comics as you would books.
