The storyline is based in a rural region therefore if they changed outfits in each episode and wore more luxurious fashion combinations it would distort the image. Eleni is portrayed as a young character in her early 20s. She also has "stolen childhood" so she is reliving her early years which is reflected in her youthful fashion style. The focus is on aesthetics of the historical and cultural aspects of Karadeniz rather than on aesthetically pleasing rich/wealthy/mob storylines like in other series.
