Some European countries have banned it or heavily restricted it. It was pushed heavily because of severe overpopulation from irresponsible pet owners in the 60s 70s but pet owners are much more responsible now and it’s not an issue for a majority of them. The problem is it’s now a billion dollar a year procedure so of course it’s going to be pushed.

Male dogs will start to get aggressive in their old age if not neutered. If they’re within a mile of a single female that isn’t fixed… So if you can keep your male away from any ovulating females, you shouldn’t have to worry as much about it

ive never got my rottweilers neutered and i had one who had a little blood in his urine , vet said he has to be neutered because his prostate is enlarged and causing pressure on his bladder , si i had him neutered and the UTI went away . any one else ever heard of this ???

Took my bulldog to get neutered. He was happy as can be to get out and go for a ride. While waiting in the waiting room, I looked at his beautiful balls and said…can’t do this to you buddy, and walked out!

I didn’t neuter my dog he ended up with 2 hernias that required a special surgeon to correct the hernias and it an intense recovery

I 100% agree and learned the hard way. Vets never tell you about the plethora of negatives associated with neutering, especially at the 6-9 month mark they still recommend for larger breeds. Being responsible isn’t mutilating your dog bc you’re not responsible enough to keep them from mating. Or bc you think itll help with their behavior. It’s in fact the opposite
