Two Bangladeshi citizens, Nazrul Islam Abdul Basir and Siti Akhtar, were executed in Saudi Arabia on October 14, 2026. Saudi authorities said they had been convicted of committing an immoral act inside a mosque. However, the social media claim that they were a married couple executed simply for kissing each other has not been verified. According to reports from the family, they were not married to each other.
