I was annoyed at how much they referenced Edgerunners season 1 but were scared to mention almost anything from the game, like at least the attack on Arasaka tower, Smasher’s death, or just a mention of a merc called V could’ve been enough

The closest we got to a reference of the game was them saying arasaka has fallen due to “attacks” and corporate espionage, then they talk about the stuff David did, I get why they didn’t mention it, but a little reference to just saying a merc stormed arasaka and caused chaos would of worked, even smashers death considering he dies no matter what ending aside form the suicide and the phantom liberty ending

its kind of a shame ngl. I liked season two but the thing i wanted most was seeing more characters from the game like any of the fixers or an update on the cyberpsycho rehabilitation thing or literally anything to do with dog town or something but(and maybe its because ive only watched through it once so far) I couldnt see any true frame of references for what time frame it takes place in.

You guys complain about V or anything in 2077 not being mentioned when it would literally ruin the possibility of all those other endings in cyberpunk because there is no definitive canon ending as they all are.
