Yeah, but some of those stories pre-date any mention that we have of Noah. By thousands of years in some cases. In fact, the first time that we actually have people talking about the story of Noah, historically speaking isn’t until 400-300bc the University of Haifa has the largest city ever conducted on this topic. And it shows that these stories are most likely not being passed down orally, cause we do not have people name their children after Old Testament heroes until that time. When we start to get writings of these stories in the Old Testament. It is more likely that whoever is writing the Old Testament is pulling myths from other surrounding cultures to write there myth…. Like in the epic Google mash when he sends out a birds to search for land, this is a motif. It is a specific thing doing a specific action in a specific story. It is easy to see who is copying from who…..
