It wasn’t her moment, though. I agree with your opinion, but this was her friend’s moment, and she wanted the spotlight to be on Rutshelle There’s no low self-esteem involved in that. I remember a year ago when she listed all the Haitian women in the industry she thought she was better than, and she got dragged for it for almost a whole year. I’m not making this up. Now, she’s saying the spotlight should be on her friend because she knows what she’s been through, how much she’s struggled, and the sacrifices she’s made to get where she is today That’s an act of respect, not insecurity. She knows what she’s capable of, she knows who she is.

I think people misunderstood the whole situation. Yes, the performance was 🔥, and Anie absolutely deserves her flowers for showing up and delivering! But let’s not forget who the concert actually belonged to. Rutshelle put the whole show together, and she was the one who invited her as a guest. So when people congratulate the guest, they should also give credit to the main artist who made it all happen. And I love that Anie acknowledged that herself because she understood that it wasn’t her concert or her moment to take all the credit. You can celebrate someone’s performance while still giving the main artist her flowers. Both women deserve their recognition, but let’s give credit where credit is due!
