I have adapted every single slide into my life since I was… 15? 16? I’m in my 30’s now and happily, happily married to a man. He knows my boundaries and knows how much I genuinely despise male-centered practices. I am forever grateful for him- and yet I STILL value my alone time, MY career, and my life. I have never lost sight of who I am in marriage and have always remained that I can leave whenever I want if I chose. I remain firm that being married is not the most important or interesting thing about me. And- plot twist- we are the happiest we’ve been. When I tell people this they often scoff and insist he will leave me… we’ve been together for years though, so I guess the joke is on them.

Part of decentering men is not shaping our lives around them. Yet this post only talks about men and doesn’t mention what you will do towards women or even your community of women known or not. Man hating is still centering on men. In todays age when people are vanishing and this admin is targeting all of us, and we keep hearing these patriarchal systems come to light in their dark operations, community and collective wellbeing needs to be the goal. Cool if you want to do it towards women only thats your choice, yet here not once does it mention how these benefit the community of women around you. The most troubling slide was the last one as it shows privilege and capitalist construct of we keep to ourselves and our own everyone else can get screwed unless I gain something.

i noticed at my restaurant job a lot of my male coworkers never got out of the way even if you said excuse me. i just started shoulder checking all of them. many of them now apologize if they run into me now 😂

Anywhere I go, I ask if there’s a woman I can talk to: woman dr, woman attendant, woman mechanic. No woman? No money from me. Sometimes working with men is unavoidable, but I will go out of my way to find a woman to do the job.

I was walking my dog and a guy approached us in the same side. We were literally inches from each other at a halt and he goes “you wanna move?” I look at him in disgust- “do YOU wanna mOvE” and he scoffed, shook his head, and moved.
