On your first midwife appointment you should have got your maternity exemption certificate (the one for free prescriptions and dental and stuff) and then by 6 months you can have your MatB1 form. Get both of these because that’s probably what she meant. Annoying like but a shame you had to get your belly out 😭

I think she needed to see proof to be able to offer you the discretional ticket. However, there should be some guidelines given to them of what this proof can look like instead of showing them your bump. i.e the nhs prescription exemption certificate
