so my fiance of 5 yrs, is struggling with depression and back pain, he literally broke down 2 weeks ago, saying hes broken and can't be fixed. he moved out Fri, I have no idea where, he took his bed, clothes, dresser. then sat cries, saying he loves me and doesn't want me to give up on him. claims he doesn't want anyone else, he just needs to be alone to fix himself. am I being delusional to wait?

Being the burned out pursuer when your partner starts showing up has been hard to figure out. I had decided the path I had to take and now I am confused because what I’ve wanted for years is now showing up. It’s very confusing for my nervous system. So that’s why I seem hot and cold

but its so difficult for me bc my bop bf is not living with me, we’re LDR, and we’re taking a no contact break (3 weeks in now) bc i knew he only needed space, not let go of the relationship completely. so now im in an uncertain spot bc idk if hes making any progress himself to heal, while he cant see what i do for myself to heal. its just coldness from my end to feel the “warmth” / progress of our relationship 😞💔

What about a burnt out pursuer who is actively pursing another relationship with another woman during this phase and is still married? He has told me how he sees me doing better and working on myself. He’s the one who decided he wanted to leave, but I don’t want that. I’m trying to give him space and work on myself and reactions, but how do I hold out hope when he’s already moved on? We have 2 kids together.. a 2 month old and toddler. I don’t see how it’s fair.. I am trying and will continue to do so. The old relationship we had needs to die so we can have a new one!

What happens when it’s a fresh breakup? Is there a chance to reconcile sooner rather than later? She had been begging for change the last 6 months and I was too slow to the start and by the time I took things seriously it’s too little too late and although she says she loves me she doesn’t want this right now. We have both done our share of damage but we have worked so hard for our relationship I want to keep fighting for it.
