What makes this even more interesting is George W. Bush’s political background. He comes from a family with GENERATIONS of Republican history. His father was a Republican president, he was the Republican governor of TEXAS, and he served EIGHT YEARS as president himself. He is now the only living former Republican president. Yet he never publicly endorsed Donald Trump, and we haven’t seen him publicly endorse fellow Texan Ken Paxton either. Meanwhile, his own daughter has supported James Talarico. And isn’t it interesting that some of his most visible public appearances have been alongside the Obamas? Now, Bush has supported other Republican candidates, but I think the contrast between the Bush family’s Republican history and today’s MAGA movement says a lot about how much the party has changed.
