I have Dysautonomia and I agree with everything you shared in this video. It can be so hard to pinpoint neurological conditions, or even to get in to see a neurologist but I suspect my reactivated Epstein -Barr virus is the culprit in my situation.

Do you think 🤔 it’s possible to manifest it by being told what it is ?

ESR. Ana. RF. All negative but in chronic pain. Doctor wants to blame it on hormones.

First I’m hearing of it. Thats terrible. We need more research on women, for women. I’m so tired of hearing “we don’t know”.

Dealing with this with my neuromuscular disease. They know I have it, but can’t figure out what it is. They can definitely say I have mitochondrial dysfunction, but awaiting more finite genetic tests to learn more.

I am in diagnostic imaging in healthcare. I scan the brains and spines to aid the drs w/ diagnosis. SO many times patients with obvious neurological symptoms have tests that show NOTHING wrong neurologically. What we need is more advanced medical research. Unfortunately, there's no money to be made in research, so as a capitalistic society with a capitalistic run healthcare system we lag behind in knowledge. Sadly, it really is that basic. I am sorry for those that are difficult to diagnose. Maybe seek treatment in another country??

Neuro is way behind other diseases because it seems like everything is a dx of exclusion! Mom went thru Myasthenia G, PLS, and ALS. She died before they made a real diagnosis.

I went to nursing school and in addition to MRI with and without contrast a spinal tap MUST be done to check for the specific protein that's in the CSF... only then can you be certain you have MS that protein must be present otherwise it's labeled probable MS...in addition ophthalmologists are able to see your optic nerve which will look different from a person without MS...I myself have had MS for over 20yrs medication changes will eventually happen with flares...5 days inpt with IV steroids to calm down the inflammation causing the new symptoms... if they didn't do a spinal tap I'm not sure why they'd be certain she doesn't have it... but like you said many tests are needed but for ANYONE who has been told they have MS and haven't had a spinal tap... find a different neurologist did she say how they found she doesn't? I know the news is reporting on it but what did she say I'll need to listen to her podcast which I normally never do lol... but I'm passing that info on for anyone who is now questioning or confused
