@jodie_starlinghomestead: Replying to @Teppy / Goddess Brows Owner HOW TO WORK OUT YOUR ANNUAL HOUSEHOLD SPENDING USING CHATGPT * Step 1: Download 6–12 months of bank statements from all your household accounts, including credit cards. * Step 2: Remove sensitive information, such as account numbers and addresses. * Step 3: Upload your statements to ChatGPT. PDF, CSV and Excel files work well. * Step 4: Copy and paste this prompt: “Analyse my uploaded bank statements and categorise our household spending into categories such as groceries, mortgage or rent, utilities, insurance, transport, subscriptions, eating out, entertainment and shopping. Separate essential spending from discretionary spending, identify recurring bills, estimate our average monthly and annual spending, and flag anything you’re unsure about. Check for transfers between our own accounts, refunds and possible duplicate transactions to avoid double counting. Explain any limitations in the calculations.” * Step 5: Answer any questions ChatGPT asks to clarify transactions, transfers or missing accounts. * Step 6: Review the results to see your essential costs, discretionary spending and total annual household running costs. PS - not a fan of Ai and try to avoid where possible but it has been a great tool when it comes to our budgeting #budget #Budgeting #budgettips #money

We use PocketSmith and have it connected to our bank accounts cause we probably have 15+ bank accounts and I can tell you how much we have spent since 2018

My anxiety creeps inside of me :
Dang ours is $101,656.12 without food clothing or emergency expenses like the five new tyres I've had to buy in the last year. Medical insurance is our biggest expense at almost $10,000 and I'm constantly going back and forth about weather it's worth the cost or not.
