I don't think she'd abandon the same man that gained her trust and eventually made her feel safe enough to be able to feel comfortable with intimacy after the trauma her ex fiance caused. I'd imagine they'd try to work it out, decide that they were better apart if he didn't want to turn human with her. he'd probably look out for her descendants if she ever moved on and had kids eventually
