@cinemaoccupy: 'Street Fighter' opened to $31 million and won the weekend. Paramount's 'Street Fighter' opened to an estimated $31 million from 3,575 theaters and took No. 1 at the domestic box office over the weekend of October 16 to 18, with about $51 million worldwide, including roughly $20 million from 65 overseas markets. A24's 'You Can See Everything' placed second with an estimated $15 million from only 855 theaters, roughly $17,500 per theater. Among documentaries, only 'Fahrenheit 9/11' has opened bigger, and that comparison leaves out concert films. Further down the chart, Universal's 'Other Mommy' fell about 70% in its second weekend to an estimated $8.35 million, for $44.9 million after 10 days. 20th Century Studios' 'Whalefall' opened to an estimated $8 million from 3,065 theaters, good for fourth place. Verity, Resident Evil and Heart of the Beast rounded out the top eight. Focus Features' 'Sense and Sensibility' debuted with an estimated $7.25 million from 2,545 theaters.
