Bean’s Diesel Performance :
We have discontinued the dowels that extend into the main cap. It should not change how well the girdle “grips” the cap to keep it from moving. And will prevent any line boring or side loading issues from differences from block to block and cap to cap.

so there's a gentleman i know that's the big cam magician for lack of better term. I mean his cb handle is "the magician" anyway. for what it's worth. back in the day he was horsepower hungry and short story long he broke a crank. changed it. broke it again. changed it again only to realize he made so much power/heat. the block warped just enough that had he not actually measured, he wouldn't have known that he was dealing with a paper weight on that 3rd rebuild.

14mm beans girdle and new performance dowels should be good way way past what any block will take even sleeved. Deckplate motor yeah just go wagler but ANYTHING but a sleeved deckplate motor will be super healthy with a beans 14mm and nice dowels.
